A small independent publication that tests what intimate products are made of, because nobody is required to tell you.
What we do
We buy products at retail, verify what they are actually made of, and rank them. Material comes first because it is the property that decides whether an item can be cleaned, shared, or kept, and it is the property sellers are least honest about.
We publish our scoring rubric in full so you can disagree with it. Porosity carries 40%, sterilization 25%, plasticizer dependence 20%, and disclosure quality 15%.
Why this site exists
In the United States these products are classified as novelty goods rather than medical devices. That classification carries no material disclosure requirement, no ingredient labelling standard, and no enforcement of terms like medical grade or body safe. A $12 product and a $120 product can make identical safety claims and only one of them is telling the truth.
There is no regulator to appeal to, so the only correction mechanism is people doing the testing and publishing it.
How we are funded
Affiliate commission, and nothing else. When a reader buys through a link here, the retailer pays us a percentage at no additional cost to the reader. No brand pays for inclusion, no brand sees a review before it publishes, and commission rate is not a scoring input. Our full commercial disclosure is here.
We run no advertising, no sponsored posts, and no paid placements. There is no rate card because there is nothing to sell.
What we are not
We are not clinicians. We test materials and report what we find. Nothing here is medical advice, and pain, bleeding, or persistent irritation is a reason to see a doctor rather than to buy a different product.
