Why is the top pick not the highest scoring?
The score measures material safety only. The VixSkin scores higher because soft platinum silicone is a marginally better material than steel on the disclosure and versatility axes. Steel takes best overall because it is the one product here with no failure mode, no expiry, and no maintenance. Score is one input to the ranking, not the ranking itself.
